The German Society for Aesthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ) was founded in 1991 with the aim of promoting aesthetics in dentistry. However, this does not mean purely beautifying cosmetics, but rather the practice of professional dentistry, which ultimately results in a harmonious appearance. The members of the DGÄZ are specialists from various fields of aesthetic dentistry. In order to achieve its goals, the DGÄZ offers a wide range of continuing education courses and organises congresses.
DGI - German Society for Implantology
Implantology is an increasingly widespread and sought-after treatment method. That is why the German Society for Implantology (DGI) offers continuing education courses to give members the opportunity to gain knowledge about this method on a scientific basis. The DGI was founded in 1994 as a non-profit association based in Munich, and today it is also very active internationally.
DGET - German Society for Endodontology and Dental Traumatology
The German Society for Endodontology and Dental Traumatology (DGET) was founded in January 2002 as the German Society for Endodontics e.V. to promote endodontics-based tooth preservation and to foster and improve cooperation between educational institutions and practitioners.
German Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK)
The German Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK) was founded in 1859 as the "Central Association of German Dentists". The DGZMK is dedicated to promoting scientific dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine and research in this field. Scientific conferences are held for this purpose. In addition, special working groups are founded and further education is promoted.
Bavarian State Dental Association
The Bavarian Dental Association (BLZK / Bayerische Landeszahnärztekammer) provides support for Bavarian dentists. To this end, the BLZK promotes continuing education in dentistry. Another area of activity is the provision of continuing education in the fields of orthodontics and oral surgery. The BLZK also acts as a representative of the professional interests of all Bavarian dentists.
Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists in Bavaria
The Kassenzahnärztliche Vereinigung Bayerns (KZVB) stands up for Bavarian dentists and their patients, orthodontists and oral surgeons. As a modern service provider for patients with statutory health insurance in Bavaria, the KZVB ensures dental care, including emergency dental services.
